Hello, parents. This is WaffleGame.co.uk, where we publish word puzzles that are safe for children and genuinely good fun for adults too.

Finding screen time that's actually worth having is hard. That's more or less why this site exists.

What we do

We pick out word and puzzle games that get children (and grown-ups) thinking, reading and spelling without it feeling like homework. They're the sort of thing you can happily sit and do together.

We'll also say when a puzzle is on the harder side or better suited to older children, so you can decide what's right for yours.

How we share games

We don't host or sell games ourselves. We recommend them and link out to trusted places — official publishers and the app stores — so you always know you're playing the real thing.

Tips for parents

• One puzzle a day is plenty — it's a good habit and it doesn't take over the evening.
• Play together. These games are much better with two people arguing about the answer.
• Praise the thinking, not the score.

Why word games?
